Halloween was very fun this year and very busy! I think we had four parties we were invited to and were able to attend three of them, both Haley and Scotty had school parties and their school parade and don't forget about trick or treating. We had a great time and the kids love to dress up and get tons of candy. Madeline was obessed with singing..."trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear." She thought she was so funny!
Scotty could not decide what to be this year, so for school he went as a ninja, for the ward Halloween party he was a vampire, and for Halloween night he went as a knight in shining armor.
Haley was a lady bug for school and Halloween night and a jazz dancer for the Clay's party and the ward Halloween party.
Madeline was content to be Tinker Bell for all events and Marianne was in Halloween Pj's or a flower pot!
The Pumpkin Patch!Madeline's preschool went to the pumpkin patch this year. She had such a great time. She loved the slide and the petting zoo. We had a great time!

Caramel Apples! In the midst of all the festivities a friend and I decided to make and sell some caramel apples. We make some dang good apples if I do say so myself. We did not sell as many as we hoped but we did pretty good! It was fun spending the day together anyway!
Booing People! One of the highlights of our Halloween is when we get booed and then booing others. Scott had a great time dressing up the kids for their secret mission! They looked so cute, not to mention they were very sneaky and did not get caught. Mission accomplished!
The Clay's Halloween Party! The Clay's are a family in our ward. They put on the Best Halloween party ever! They have a haunted house, a raffle, all kinds of games, food, sugar cookie decorating, prizes. It is always hours of fun and this year was no different. Scotty had so much fun I never saw him and didn't get a picture of him.
Haley and her friend Sarah!

Marianne hung out on the stairs as long as possible. She had a blast crawling up and down. Thank you Grandma Hendricks for the Halloween jammies. Yes they are brand new this year, but by the end of the night they looked like they were 10 years old. This was obviously pre- walking.

This is Madeline right after her dad took her through the Haunted house. I didn't think she should have gone in the first place, but she begged her daddy to take her and so of course he gave in. Maybe you shouldn't listen to a three year old when she tells you she wants to go into a haunted house!!
School Parties!I love to go to the kids school parties. Scotty and Haley were both carving pumpkins and eating yummy treats for their party. Luckily they were at different times, only overlapping a tiny bit. Madeline loves to go to the school and help out in the big kids classes!

Ward Halloween Party! Our ward puts on the best parties. This one was no different. The kids had a great time playing, eating and being with their friends. One of the activities was face painting. Scott got a hold of Haley and made her into a jack o lantern. She was not very happy about it, but I thought she looked cute!

One of my young women painted Maddy's face. She was so excited to have blood on her face. She kept telling me all night. "Mom, I have blood on my face". Funny girl!

Kristen kidnapped Marianne from the party and took her home with her so she could take a nap. This is how I found my beautiful flower pot. Isn't she adorable!
Trick or TreatingHere is the clan that we took trick or treating. Our neighborhood is not the best when it comes to Halloween. We have tons of kids but for some reason everyone leaves on halloween night. But like the neighbors we left and walked across the main road behind our house to a gated community that is like halloween town. There are 100's of kids walking up and down the streets. Almost every house is decorated and many are mini haunted houses. Rarely do you need to ring the doorbell because they are parked outside in their lawn chairs. It is a great time!

This particular house has tons of homemade spiders. They were little, and big, they were on their house and suspended from a wire that ran from their house to the house across the street. It was amazing.

This was the same house. This dummy person from not a dummy after all. He was real and I fell for it. I about pea'ed myself when he jumped out at me!

We did a lot of walking...the kids needed a break, and why not eat a little candy!!!

Riding in style. Marianne is not super keen of the stroller, so she spent most of the night on Daddy's shoulders.

The Candy Stash!!
