Recent Update of events...

Bumps and Bruises!

Poor Madeline! She is my accident prone child. It is kind of funny because I was the accident prone child in my family. The only one who had broken bones, had stitches, surgeries, you name it, and I think of all my kids she looks the most like me. This is just another HUGE goose egg she got while playing with Scotty. They were throwing Jr. Mints up in the air trying to catch them in their mouth when they collided and she got pushed into the wall and hit her head right smack on the rounded corner. Thank goodness the corner was rounded it may have split open otherwise. Now take into account that this picture was taken about a week after it happened. So there is already healing going on. The goose egg that night probably stuck out at least an inch from her forehead OUCH!

Three Weeks to go!!!

This picture was actually taken when I had 5 weeks to go, so it is not exactly what I look like at the moment. At my last dr.'s appointment I had gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks. AAAAHHH!!!! We cannot wait for this little man to come. We still don't have any names, suggestions are welcome!

The Biggest Event in Months!!
Marianne has mastered the potty skill and we are absolutely thrilled. She is a pro now, she can even read while sitting on the toilet!!!

Field trip to the Mirage!

Today I went with Scotty on a field trip to the Mirage's Dolphin Habitat and The Secret Garden. This was the first field trip I have been on with him since he entered Elementary School. I figured I better take advantage before this baby comes!

We had such a great time. And I love that he still wants me to sit with him on the bus, hold his hand and love on him. I know that will not last long so I took full advantage!

This dolphin was quite the show off. It was doing tricks and talking to us through the glass. I could have watched him for hours.

Scotty said one of his favorite parts was getting to hold the sea stars.

His other favorite part was seeing the tigers and lions. I love this first picture because you can see his two front teeth that are missing. I love a toothless smile! The tigers were beautiful. I did not know that tigers are bigger than lions? You learn something new everyday!

I have lots more updates, but if I do not post this now it will sit in my drafts forever. More to come...

Our Early Morning Visitor...

We had a visitor knock on our door about 7:30 this morning. Yes I was a little shocked and reluctant to answer the door in my glasses and pajamas, but the knock was very forceful so I decided it would be best to answer. Who might it have been???.... Yep you guessed it a police officer. My mind quickly went back to the last ten minutes when I heard buttons on the phone being pushed. The phone rang twice and Haley and I both calling to Scotty to see who it was. I didn't think much of it. They often take my cell phone and call the home phone and think it is hilarious. As soon as I opened the door I knew it was more than that. The officer asked who was in the house and I told him just me and the kids. I ask, "did someone call 911?" I precede to tell him my son was playing on the phone, he asked how old he was I told him 7 and that I would go get him. As I was looking for him I told the officer that he looked really familiar. He just gave me a strange look and we kept looking for Scotty. I finally found Scotty hiding in my bathroom under my vanity. It took a few minutes to coax him out because he knew he was in trouble. The officer talked to him (much too nicely if you ask me, I wish he would have scolded him to tears) and then went on his way. A few minutes later he knocked on the door again and said, "I remember where we know each other from, rookie baseball." Instantly it clicked he was "Coach Paul" one of Scotty's assistant coaches from him baseball team last season. What a great reunion with your coach huh? A day Scotty and I will never forget!

Florida Vacation!
